On Friday I got a phone call that was unexpected. My cousin Adrienne who lives in Idaho and I have not seen or talked with for years. She uses Myspace and I have not so i signed up there so I could communicate with her there. I let her know that I use livejounal so I wanted to make a rare public (not protected as friends only) post for her to reply to if she signs up for LJ.

I finally decided on a picture which Jon resized for me. But it does not seem to want to stay on my account... Maybe it will show up... I tried to load it on at least 4 times.

I think I know what gerbils think. first they let you pick them up then once they poop in your hand while you hold them they think "ok human, you served your purpose as toilet now put me back in my cage!" and they think that will keep the poop fromm being in their cages, WRONG! when they do that to me I just put it back in their cages with them. that's fair, now I gotta wash my hands cause I held the gerbil.

My spiney mouse Pennies doesnt do that, she's a good girl, she actually wants to be picked up and crawl around on your hand and arm. and she's funny to watch.

I had to think of a more silly thing to post since my last very serious post, I am trying to not be sad and depressed. I go to the pet store where Jon works and hold the little bunnies they have for sale there and it seems to help. We don't want a new one of our own yet, we will watch for the right one before just buying one. There is one in the store right now that's very cute but it's a boy and Jon wants a girl. He wants if we get another one to be the same breed as Mileena. She was a really cute rex mix bunny. Very soft. Very cuddly. Very pretty.

Ok. I think I need to go to bed it is kinda late. I worked on some of my art and things today. mostly some drawing but a little painting also.

Mileena has been doing well taking her medicine, when she gets her shot, I hold her and hug her and shut my eyes and she gets the shot, and she doesnt even squirm, she's such a good girl! She seems to be improving some but slowly, she is making less noise when she breathes but her breathing isn't completely better yet, and I just want her to be all better! She has one more injection for tomorrow and after that I have to call the vet back on tuesday and maybe have to take her back, she may need more meds or something, I hope she will get all better soon!

Yesterday, Jon's friend Bonnie who has been giving her the medicine forgot, so I had to drive her to my parents house and mom gave her the shot. and then she go to see the kitties for the first time. Well, she was perfectly calm and behaved like a good bunny, and then the kitties noticed her, she was still good but the kitties were afraid of her! I kind of thought that would be the other way around and the kitties would scare her. She's a very well behaved bunny, I'm really hoping the vet can help make her all better, cause she is not eating much at all being sick, and she's loosing weight until she gets better. she isn't drinking much either, but in the last 2 days she did start to drink more which shows she's improving some, but I want her to be all better. I know when I'm sick and take antibiotics, I feel better in a day or 2 but still have to take meds for at least a week. She didnt do that, but she does at least seem to be slowly improving.

My Mileena is all I've been writing about recently, I'm really worried about her. She seems to be more happy and active in the last couple days, she hops around more and gets excited about things more. If she really felt totally sick, she would just be laying there not doing much like the first day she was sick with this. She acts like she's feeling better even if she's not done making snorting noises when she breathes.

Mileena is doing some better, I think, at least she sneezes and the crap comes out of her nose nistead of staying in there. also she is making quieter and less snorting noises. I had to help give her injection yesterday, Jon's frined Bonnie came to our house (Jon was at work so I was the only one there to hold Mileena) and I held her and shut my eyes so I didnt see what's going on and Bonnie did the injection. I was scared but Mileena didnt even squirm at all. she didnt like the eye ointment thing though, that was what she squirmed about. But I think she may be feeling some better already because she hopps around more again and I'm hoping she will keep improving. We are taking her in to the pet store where Jon (and Bonnie) work to have Bonnie do the injection again tonight, and also we will be taking our gerbil Sascha in for his regular dental trimming.

Well, we actually got her a vet appointment yesterday 6pm in Greensburg, the nice vet gave us info on bunnies and what not to do (particularly the meds that the manager at Jon's work recommended are NOT a good idea) and also, bunnys cant take oral medication. antibiotics for bunnies are injections!

Well, I am not good with injections, I need to be sedated to even go to the dentist office for fillings or something. so when they brought out the needles and said we have to do this every day at home I nearly passed out, luckily Jon was there to see what's got to be done for her and he has a friend at work who will help us with the injections cause he does not think he can do them either, although he had no problem watching he doesnt think he can actually do it. Bonnie, his very nice co-worker with lots of pets and experience with these things will help us. i can't even watch it being done.

I wish Caddie was still here cause he used to do allergy shots and I know he could help me! I can't drive Meelina to his house every day though now, he's kind of far away.

EDIT: almost forgot to mention, the vet's office visit fee was $20 (no big deal) but with the medications it is $88 (big ouchy!) but she has to have it. No choice. injections and eye ointment are expensive. and that's only a week's worth of injections.

I had a bad thing happen, My pet bunny Mileena started to sniffle a little bit last week, i figured its a cold and she will get over it, well she didnt and it got worse. very suddenly she started not eating much and not drinking much and not pottying much, that was noted yesterday morning. i decided to look in a book about bunnies for answers at work, then decided immediately to call a vet, only to find no one around here sees bunnies on emergency basis! I have an appointment (the earliest I can get) today at 2pm which means it is while I am working but I'll have to work something out with changing my lunch break or something. After that we called a friend who has many pets including bunnies, she recommended a vet who is good, but it was 6:10 last night when I called her and when I called the vet office it had closed at 6 and will re-open at 8am today, so I will try to call them as soon after 8 as I can and get an appointment. The other vet office i have the 2pm appt with doesnt have any after 4pm when I will be off of work, so I am going to try to get an after work appointment with the other vet and cancel the 1st one cause they weren't very friendly on the phone anyway.

Since getting home from work yesterday Mileena's condition was worse than it was in the morning she makes little snorting noises most of the time she's breating now. I am thinking definitely respiratory infection

What makes me really upset over this is that there's an emergency vet a couple blocks from my house, and they don't see bunnies, and I know for a fact when you are in vet school you learn about all the animals and specializing in one or two animal types after becoming a vet is something of a choice but those vets who "only see dogs and cats" or whatever can treat other animals they just don't want to! The emergency vet near me has the education to help my bunny, but that's not what they choose to do. My cousin "only" treats large animals like horses & cows and stuff, but she still treats her own dogs and cats and those for family members when she visits but she lives in Virginia and I cant just run down there with the bunny after work or something.

Jon brought home some medicine his work (a pet store) uses on their bunnies with respiratory problems, but it's not a cure it will help with symptoms though. I am hoping she will be ok until I can get her a vet appointment.

If anyone has some positive energy to send to my sweet little sick bunny Mileena that would be appreciated.

Hi to my friends who read my journal, I've been rather busy at work and the "public" computer at the apartment complex has been occupied recently. I'm sorry I have not had time to comment much to my friends or post much here, I do hope my friends take a look at my journal too and sorry I'm rather unavailable recently. I hope you don't forget me.

Also, I want to mention a VERY HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my brother CadpigJr!!! He will be *censored* years old this March 19, but I typically can't get online on weekends and wanted to make sure I post a note about him also. I will be sending a gift & card with the parents when they visit as well.

I will attempt to be more interesting in my journal so my friends take notice of me.... I just have a rather boring life at the moment with the currently heavy work schedule with required overtime and everything. I am hoping to visit Thaddy soon though. Maybe with the assistance of Xavier as navigator.

Today's a happy day, today is me & Jon's 2 year anniversary. It makes me all happy and lovey to think about it. He makes me really happy and he's the most wonderful person I've ever shared any part of my life with. I just want to hug and squeeze and cuddle him forever. He makes me so happy.

also, he started his own livejournal over the weekend so if you know me then you know him, he's the cute guy who is most often attached to me most of the time you see me, so check out his journal... it's x_starrazor_x (sorry, i don't know how to make the little link thingy to his journal from mine) and if you have me added as one of your friends, he added you to his friends also, and the journal other than the initial entry is "friends only" so if he doesnt have you added you can let me know and i'll have him add you.

Something strange happened ni my apartment and it's been noticible for the past 2 days, i am thinking about calling the rental office to ask about it maybe...

My apartment smells like oranges, it's not unpleasant or anything but it is confusing because i have absolitely nothing that I know of scented like oranges, the only citrus cented item is the lemon scented colrox wipes but that's not it. If maintenence was in our room and used orange scented something or did anything there would be a note that they were there. and as far as I know no one would be in our apartment and nothing is missing so is it likely someone would come in to my house, steal or touch NOTHING and spray something orange scented? We've talked about possible sources like someone in maintenence workig with an orange scented chemical near where the forced air heating system is, or possibly something being sprayed in the hallway and come in to the apartment under the door but the air vents in the hallway blow air more forcefully than in the apartments so there's no scent out there but maybe they would blow it under the door. Or maybe an orange died in my apartment and its ghost is haunting me? I have no idea and it's kind of creepy. I think I will check with the rental office and see if possibly maybe they are aware of something going on in our building with ornage scented something.

My thought for today:

It is the time of year again to find the most wonderful-perfect seasonal food item ever!!! Cadbury eggs. Yummy chocolate on the outside and soft sweet gooey sweetness inside. I got some at the store the other day and they are all gone. lots yummy.

I got this color-enhancing hair conditioner. My hair is natural red which I wanted to highlight and make brighter, so I got a "red" color enhancing conditioner. The first time I used it I had made sure not to get any on the blond stripes I have in my hair, was worried they might turn a bad color. Well, that time the conditioner had little or no noticible effect on my hair. So I tried it again putting it all over since it didnt so much the time before I didnt care if it got on the blond, well now part of the blond has a few pink stripes. and my hair has an overall more "pinky" shade.... not exactly what I wanted. I know it will wash out (hopefully soon) and I'll try something else. Jon wants to help me dye it a nicer color.

Lesson learned: don't put red color conditioner on blond hair unless you want pink.

Ok, I need to go back to my room now. work was horrid today so I want to go back and read my book and relax some before bed. I have to work from 8 to 5 tomorrow but I will probably stay till 7 cause they are offering overtime. (yay $$) But then on the 1st starts spring (run and hide!!) where I will probably work 10 hours on weekdays and at least 4 hours satudays for the next 3 months. I don't mind overtime a little wach week but our overtime where I work is generally in 4 months of the year and that's it March, April, May and September. so they cram lots of it in those 3 months, and give us none the rest of the year. But they give a lot of vacation days that we can use any time BUT march, april, may and september so it's not all that bad and will work out later when I can have all the time off I want for anthrocon (I got my approval back for those days, I am off from the wednesday before to the wednesday after anthrocon and I go back to work thursday after the con. (yay) so I have time to rest after the con and i can help set up before as suggested by my wonderful brother *hugs caddie*

Ok, now I typed a lot more after saying I'm leaving so I better actually leave now. I will still try to check online every day even when work is insane in the spring.

Hello again whoever's reading this. I didn't have too much going on today, we got a printer yesterday and then had to go back to the store today for a USB cable to connect it. and we went to wal-mart. and I visited my mom and got to cuddle my kitties. and later (or maybe tomorrow) i will give the bunny (my pet bunny Malina, don't get any wierd ideas) a bath cause she's shedding a lot and fluffing up my house with bunny-fur.

It's saturday, nothing too exciting. Still no real internet connection in my personal apartment so I am in the office place at the apartment complex again.

I found Thaddeus (eek, I hope I spelled that right) today in livejournal thanks to Cadpig. I posted him a message so maybe he will notice me.

I also started writing a new story last night that's a commedy of sorts. And I have an idea for another which I should write down before I forget.

but I have to go back to my apartment soon. I'm not really lots tired yet but a little and I have some art things and story things I want to work on before I go to bed.

(like during the superbowl, since i have no intrest in football I came here to use the computer since i knew that pretty much everyone else in the whole pittsburgh area would be watching the football game. that also made a VERY convenient time to go to the grocery store, it was completely dead there then too.)
